About the Founder
Jessie Elliott
Jessie Elliott is a visionary entrepreneur and psychologist with over 30 years of expertise in global marketing and brand strategy. Known for her ability to transform abstract concepts into purposeful brands, Jessie spent decades building narratives that resonate deeply across cultures and industries.
Her pivot to psychology was fueled by a profound personal calling—to explore the human dimensions of family, identity, and care. Adopted from Korea at the age of 12, Jessie has spent her life navigating and honoring the layered experiences of belonging. As a mother of four adult children, one of whom is adopted, she understands firsthand the complexities of kinship, love, and legacy.
This rich tapestry of experience culminated in the founding of Surrogacy by Huitzilin, an agency named after the Nahuatl word for hummingbird—a symbol of hope, resilience, and transformational love. With deep respect for cultural symbolism and human nuance, the agency is committed to ethical, inclusive, and psychologically attuned surrogacy practices.
Jessie’s mission is not only to build families, but to champion narratives that recognize the beauty in how families are formed—one heart, one story at a time.
When you build with Huitzilin, you build something sacred.

About Us
MISSION STATEMENT
To create a sacred, ethical, and empowering surrogacy experience rooted in emotional care, legal protection, and legacy-building.
WHAT HUITZILN MEANS
“Place of the Hummingbird”
Huitzilin means hummingbird in Nahuatl — a sacred symbol of strength, resilience, and divine connection. In many Indigenous traditions, the hummingbird is a messenger between worlds, a carrier of love, hope, and new beginnings. At Huitzilin, we honor this legacy through the sacred work of surrogacy — guiding life from one heart to another with intention, care, and spirit. Just like the hummingbird, our surrogates move with purpose, grace, and power — bridging families with joy and transformation.

Founder's Statement
I founded Surrogacy by Huitzilin not just to help build families, but to honor every story, every soul, and every sacred connection that brings them together.
As a Korean adoptee who came to the United States at twelve, and a mother of four—including one through adoption—I’ve lived the beauty and complexity of love that transcends biology. These experiences shaped my core belief: that family is not a fixed structure, but a living expression of care, courage, and connection.
Our agency’s name—Huitzilin, the Nahuatl word for hummingbird—reflects the spirit we bring to this work: resilient, vibrant, and deeply intentional. We don’t view surrogacy as a transaction. We view it as a transformative journey that requires care not only for the intended parents, but for the surrogate whose gift makes it all possible.
That’s why our 360° model was born. It’s a holistic approach that honors the surrogate as a whole person—providing her with emotional support, health resources, cultural sensitivity, and wellness access long after the birth. We walk beside her, not just through the pregnancy, but through the re-entry into her own life, dreams, and next chapter. This isn’t just ethics—it’s empathy in action.
Our commitment extends to intended families, too. We offer resources and guidance that nurture their unique path to parenthood, and celebrate the love that made it possible.
This isn’t a traditional agency—it’s a movement. One that reflects the truth I’ve come to live: that the way a family is formed is just as meaningful as the love that sustains it.
With heart,
Jessie Elliott, Founder, Surrogacy by Huitzilin
